Testimonials

The inconvenient truths of climate change mean we hear a lot of doom and gloom. When a series focused on the the stories of brilliant, accessible, and compelling clean energy heroes paints a hopeful and achievable vision of the future, it’s tremendously powerful. Our audience left the screening feeling smarter, more hopeful, and energized about solutions available right now. They felt inspired to take action – which was a major goal of our Empowered partnership.
— Chris Smith, Sr. Director of Development, Ceres
The screening generated a lively conversation and the hope and positivity to inspire people to sign up for my program, Resilient Neighborhoods, to reduce their CO2 emissions and increase the resilience of their families and communities.
— Tamra Peters, Founder and Director, Resilient Neighborhoods
The Empowered series is thought-provoking and inspiring. During the screening, I heard several whispers of “wow” from audience members, who were surprised and impressed to learn about advancements in renewable energy and how everything works. The discussion and Q&A afterward were equally engaging, and audience members were left with tangible action they could take to mitigate the effects of climate change and help support our environment.
— Crystal Duran, Library Director, Belvedere Tiburon Library
I watched episodes one and two on KQED and was impressed with the clarity and accuracy of the info you shared. I’ve been working in renewables and climate tech for over twenty years... I’m familiar with the issues you laid out. Over the years, I’ve consumed a lot of books, articles and TV shows trying to explain how the grid works and what the challenges will be as we strive for zero carbon. I was so impressed with your work... Well done!
— Josie Gaillard, Menlo Park, CA
The show gives a riveting crash course in the evolution of human energy innovations, the effects of our insatiable consumption of carbon-producing fuels, and the exciting and hope-giving progress humans are finally making towards clean and sustainable energy sources. Watch it with your kids and give them reasons to hope too!
